Below is a time frame outlining many of the arrangement to be completed while planning your wedding.
Keeping track of things to be done and charting additional needs specific to your wedding will make the whole planning contact with ALL contracted services.
6 to 12 Months
- Consult clergy
- Set wedding date
- Meet with both sets of parents
- Determine budget
- Determine ceremony style
- Choose ceremony location
- Destination wedding location
- Select attendants
- Choose:
- Wedding Gown
- Headpiece
- Accessories
- Choose mens’ formalwear
- Reserve reception site
- Plan reception
- Meet with travel agent
- Continue or create a nutrition and exercise regime
- Select and contract with:
- Wedding coordinator
- Ceremony musicians
- Reception musicians/DJ
- Vocalist
- Videographer
- Photographer
- Florist
- Decorators
- Caterer
- Limousine
4 to 6 Months
- Complete honeymoon plans
- Select store(s) for gift registry
- Order cake:
- Wedding cake
- Groom’s cake
- Reserve chocolate fountain
- Order wedding invitations
- Determine living arrangements
- Meet with realtor
- Meet with financial advisor
- Arrange lodging for out of town guest
- Meet with clergy to discuss:
- Prenuptial classes
- Selection of special readings
- Writing ceremony and/or vows

2 to 4 Months
- Purchase wedding bands
- Schedule fittings for gown, tuxedo and bridal party
- Reserve rental needs
- Get teeth whitened
- Make passport application for international honeymoon
6 to 8 Weeks
- Mail invitations
- Purchase wedding gifts for each other
- Purchase gifts for attendants and parents
- Purchase gifts/favors for guests
- Have hair and make up trials (bring veil)
4 to 6 Weeks
- Make legal changes (credit cards, utilities, etc.)
- Have final fitting
- Make rehearsal dinner plans and reservations
- Create seating chart
2 to 4 Weeks
- Monitor RSVP’s
- Confirm all plans with contracted professionals
- Make marriage license application
- Have bachelor/bachelorette party
Final Week
- Go over final details with all involved
- Give final head count to caterer
- Pack for you honeymoon!!
- Rehearsal and special dinner
After the BIG day
- Return tuxedo, rental shoes, etc
- Take gown to be cleaned/preserved
- Relax and enjoy your honeymoon
- Send thank you cards
- Meet with photographer and videographer
- View and relive the BIG DAY!
